Arc’teryx | Climbing District

Sharing the same values, Arc’teryx and Climbing District present their vision of bouldering in the city. A complete, immersive climbing experience unique to Paris.

Whether you’re new to the sport or curious about how to reach the next grade, this is your place to join the community, learn together, and climb higher.

The best part? We’ve developed a full program of events planned to keep you inspired and connected all summer long.

Les prises de la Bastille: Opening June 12th 2024.

A Unique Climbing Experience

Arc’teryx and Climbing District have climbing in their DNA, as well as a common passion for design.

To celebrate, they’ve teamed up to envision bouldering in its most essential form. Inspired by origami, Fontainebleau's boulders, and the urban environment, ‘Les prises de la Bastille’ is a unique opportunity to experience a series of volumes and holds in never-before-designed shapes, made from natural materials for a pure climbing experience.

What is bouldering?

The idea is to climb up a wall to a maximum height of 4.70 m and fall back onto mats in complete safety. The only equipment you need is a pair of climbing shoes. No special equipment is required for indoor bouldering.

How will I be accompanied during my first session?

One of our staff will be on hand to brief you on safety, rules of conduct and technique, so that you can make the most of your first session on your own.

Look out for free first sessions in the events calendar, covered by Arc’teryx, where you’ll be guided by a professional instructor and have the chance to meet other new climbers.

How do I book?

Event bookings are made via the Weezevent platform, accessible on the Arc'teryx, or Climbing District websites. Details of each event will be posted on this platform.
