Join us for a panel discussion celebrating Indigenous runners and the diverse experiences within their community. Hear firsthand stories and perspectives from Indigenous runners as they share what running means to them, how their identities and communities shape their relationship with the sport, and what it means to create space for Indigenous representation within the running community.
The panel will begin with a screening of the trailer for “Remaining Native”, a documentary film that profiles Yerington Paiute runner, Ku Stevens. As Ku competes with the aim of being recruited by a top-tier college program he also starts to reflect on his great grandfather’s experience of running away from boarding school multiple times before the age of ten. Attendees will receive a code to view the feature-length documentary after the panel, at their own leisure.
Limited Edition Walk Gently x Wings shirt will be available through donation
