Join us at Proxy Walk-In Theater in San Francisco's Hayes Valley neighborhood for the US film premiere of 'Wet Lycra Nightmare,' directed by Sam Crossley and featuring Arc'teryx Athlete Jordan Cannon. We'll also be screening another one of Sam and Jordan's films, 'Free As Can Be,' which debuted in 2021.
Sam and Jordan will be our emcees for the evening, with guest appearances from Mark Hudon and Sam Stroh, who are featured alongside Jordan in the films. There will an audience Q&A following each film; we're also encouraging guests to submit a question to the filmmakers beforehand in the RSVP form!
Make sure to stick around afterwards, as the filmmakers will be signing posters following the film screenings. Also, at the end of the night, we'll be raffling off Arc'teryx climbing gear!
ABOUT THE VENUE
Proxy is a two-block project located in San Francisco which seeks to mobilize a flexible environment of art, culture, and retail within renovated shipping containers. Their design embraces the vast diversity of a city and encourages the rotation of new ideas.
Proxy Walk-In Theater is an outdoor venue, so make sure to dress warm! Proxy has a select number of tables to sit at, also guests are allowed to bring camp chairs or blankets to sit on.
Tickets are free, and because Proxy acts as a community space, there is no official ticket check-in area. Guests are free to come and go as they please, however we ask that you respect the filmmakers and other guests by being aware of your surroundings and courteous to one another.
The Hayes Valley neighborhood has a number of great food and drink options for before and after the films. There's also an ice cream shop right next to the venue.
