About Connor: Connor is a true mountain enthusiast. Growing up just south of Calgary, Connor felt at home in the mountains from an early age, mostly due to his parents taking the family camping in Kananaskis every weekend. This established a deep-rooted love for the outdoors before he could even walk. He was exposed to hiking, backpacking, and camping and still thinks of the mountains of Kananaskis Country as his home range. Climbing entered his life during his late teens years, and during his early 20s he travelled to New Zealand to extend his summer and to continue working on his climbing resume. Unfortunately, he sustained a major, life-altering climbing accident in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. After a few months of recovery, this event prompted his return to Canada where he moved to Canmore and began working for a guiding operation, where he gained comprehensive understanding of the mountains, climbing, and skiing. This experience also heightened his awarness of the disparities in access to the outdoors based on privilege. He began volunteering with Rocky Mountain Adaptive at the local ski hills and found a passion for inclusive outdoor activites. Connor's previous injuries shifted his career path into physical therapy but he remains rooted to the outdoors.
