As climbing season continues in Seattle, we are excited to kick off the first event of many at our new Arc'teryx Seattle sponsored bouldering wall at The Collective in South Lake Union! We have partnered with our friends at Uplift Climbing to make this offering possible for many years to come.Â
Â
This event will feature two parts:
Â
Film Screening - Sit back and watch a series of climbing short films featured in this year's Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival. We will provide some light snacks and drinks with the option to purchase food and adult beverages through The Collective's High Tide restaurant.Â
Â
Open Climbing - Stick around after to climb the bouldering wall and try out a few Olympic style boulder problems. Connect with the community and chat with a few of our store Ambassadors and local climbing organizations including Climbers of Color, Washington Climbers Coalition, and the Access Fund!Â
Â
Stay tuned for more details on upcoming events and "Gym to Crag" clinic series!
In accordance with WA State Covid-19 Mask Mandates, we are requiring all participants to wear a mask throughout the event, regardless of vaccine status.
We are a community of climbing advocates who love our climbing landscapes and the experiences they offer—and we are willing and committed to fight for them. Not just for access, but for the integrity of these amazing places.
Founded in 1991, Access Fund represents millions of climbers nationwide in all forms of climbing: rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, and bouldering.
Climbers of Color is a Washington State non-profit (est. 2017) that aims to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the climbing and mountaineering community by developing leaders of color.
To accomplish its mission,
Climbers of Color provides supportive mentorship, technical training and access to key resources including gear and scholarships.
Washington Climbers Coalition was founded in 2004 thanks to a small grant from Access Fund.
Our mission is to make Washington a better place to climb through advocacy, stewardship, and education. We work with climbers, land managers, and partner organizations to take care of climbing destinations and preserve public access.
We are a group of athletes who realized that quality chalk makes a big difference—whether you’re on the rock, swinging a kettlebell, or hitting the tennis courts, a better grip means better performance. And after rigorous testing with some of the best climbers and athletes in the world, we nailed the formula.

Situated in the North City Business District of Shoreline, Uplift Climbing finally puts a climbing gym on the north side of Lake Washington. In our 7300 square foot facility, there are walls of 5, 15, 30, 45, and 60 degrees, a Moon Board and a Tension Board, plus hang boards, a campus board, and exercise equipment.
Whether you're a lifelong climber or just getting started, everything about us is purpose built to help climbers reach new levels as outdoor athletes.
The Collective Seattle is a diverse community of creators, thinkers and doers together under one dynamic roof, known as Basecamp. Spend a morning catching up on emails, host a colleague for a lunch meeting, sweat it out on the bouldering wall in the afternoon, then wrap your day over brews with a friend - the space is dedicated to supporting your daily needs and whims.
Â
Activities and events serve as the social binder of Basecamp. These gatherings are strategically planned to generate dialogue, foster opportunities for collaboration, and encourage enjoyable interactions.
