Participants will be guided through a series of intentional activities intended to connect them to the natural world, helping to reduce stress and promote mental clarity. By slowing down, observing nature closely, and cultivating a sense of presence, participants experience a range of holistic health benefits —mentally, physically, and emotionally. By slowing down, engaging their senses, and being present in nature, participants can experience proven health benefits, including reduced stress, improved focus, and sense of calm. through sensory exercises and quiet reflection, participants can expect to feel grounded and rejuvenated, fostering a deeper relationship with both the environment and one another.
WHAT: The hike will be taking place at the Mount Work Summit Trail. This is a 5.6km out-and-back trail, with 313m of elevation gain, and generally considered to be moderate.
WHERE TO MEET: We will be meeting at the Ross Durrance Road Parking Lot, Victoria, BC, V9E 1G8, at 10am to begin the hike.
WHAT TO BRING: Please come dressed appropriately, including comfortable footwear and multiple layers to accommodate varying weather conditions. Additionally, bring a personal notepad and writing tool for the mindfulness activity.
