Spring Skiing & Splitboarding in the Cascades

Join us for a virtual panel with our local Arc'teryx Ambassadors who will share their knowledge on skiing and splitboarding in the Cascade Mountains. A brief overview of what is needed to safely and efficiently travel on glaciers across the cascades

Tips for becoming faster and more efficient starting with packing and planning for day trips versus overnight missions in the spring

Mt. Rainier: moving onto bigger peaks & expeditions

How to bring all of these skills together for larger peaks and expedition style ascents

ABOUT OUR AMBASSADORS

Erica kutz

Erica is a Brand Manager, Designer and illustrator in the outdoor industry, as well as a co-founder of Cascadia Splitfest. Born and raised in the Cascades, they are a multi-sport enthusiast with Splitboarding as #1 fave.

peter brigham

Peter is a Ski Design Engineer for K2 Skis & LINE Skis. Peter has a wide range of ski mountaineering accomplishments throughout the Casades, including skiing all WA volcanoes and the NFNWR on Mount Adams.

reid pitman

Reid is a Head Chef at Crystal Mountain and co-founder of Cascadia Splitfest. Reid has climbed & snowboarded off 14 volcanoes, and

dedicates his full year to skiing, snowboarding,

& splitboarding for the last 7.5 years.

KRYSTIN NORMAN

Krystin is a fermentation scientist, snow & avalanche safety advocate, and freetour ski athlete. With 28 years on skis and 6 seasons in the backcountry, Krystin has skied many classic and steep lines on volcanoes and peaks in WA.

max djenohan

Max is a sponsored snowboarder/athlete who has climbed and split-boarded the majority of the Cascades volcanoes and WA's prominent peaks. Versed in backcountry, high alpine, freestyle and glacier travel.
