Join Arc’teryx Aspen for a free, community-focused skills event featuring members of Mountain Rescue. The event will kick off with an information session about Mountain Rescue and their mission —who they are, how they operate, and what every backcountry traveler should know.
After the intro session, participants will rotate through four hands‑on learning stations:
Rope & Anchors
How to Request & Communicate with MRA
Basic Medical
Avalanche / Snow Safety
The evening will wrap up with a dedicated Q&A with the Mountain Rescue members.
This is a relaxed, fun way to boost your backcountry knowledge and get to know your local Search and Rescue team—perfect for beginners and seasoned adventurers alike.
"We are a volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives through backcountry rescue and mountain safety education.
We are one of the oldest search and rescue teams in the state. We are accredited through the Rocky Mountain Region of the Mountain Rescue Association. We work as volunteers for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s office; providing search and rescue services in Pitkin County and mutual aid for other counties throughout Colorado."
