Come join us at Arc'teryx Soho to get you geared up for a season of winter sports. Experienced skier Nicolas de Alejo will be joined by Dr. Andrew Eisen to give you the knowledge, tools, tips, and mental game necessary to tackle the mountains. The two of them will bring their expertise and personal experiences to discuss important topics such as layering, skiing techniques, warm up routines, nutrition and more.
"My whole journey came along through multiple injuries (3 back herniation, knee tear, rotator-cuff tear, broken almost every rib, finger and toe, among others) and I was lucky enough to find certain health options other than surgery.
Fast forward 15 years and I left a successful career in finance to dedicate my life to helping others. I am pain free and have never been more excited to share what has helped me so much both from a recovery and performance standpoint.
I became certified in yoga (RYT-500), Functional Movement, Pilates, Kettlebells, Biomechanics, Meditation (Neuroscience and Love & Kindness), Breathing Techniques, Olympic Weightlifting, among other modalities and facilitate these offerings at events, hotels, corporations and in local studios like Chelsea Piers.
I am an avid skier and have found many of these modalities (yoga, HIIT, breathing techniques, etc) to nicely prepare individuals for the ski season." -Nicolas De Alejo
