 THE INSPIRATION
Bay Area native and artist Suzette Lee (@smallmediumlee) photographed the Beta Jacket for Arc'teryx NorCal. This project celebrates AAPI and its creative inhabitants who light up Gold Mountain (San Francisco), expanding on the story of Asian Americans past and to the joyful multitudes of womxn and their transformative powers.
The name "Gold Mountain" translates to San Francisco in Chinese, in reference to Chinese immigrants – a hardshell family that represents the grit that changed the pioneers of the gold rush.
