You're invited to join us for a panel and Q&A featuring mountaineer KENTON COOL, mountaineer/ultrarunner RUPERT JONES-WARNER and photographer/writer ROBERT FERGUSON FRGS.
Attendance is free.Â
Saturday 20th August 2022
3:00pm - 5:00pm
Arc'teryx is famous for our deep ties to those exploring new frontiers and challenging perceptions of what is possible in the mountains. Nowhere else on earth challenges our athletes in the way Nepal does.Â
Earlier this year, each of our invited ambassadors spent some time working on their own challenges in the Himalayas.
Â
Kenton Cool is no stranger to this region, having summited Everest 16 times and led Sir Ranulph Fiennes' 2008 and 2009 expeditions - he is one of the UK's leading mountaineers.Â
Rupert Jones-Warner will be fresh from his expedition this summer up Kanchenjunga, descending after his summit push over 1000km back to Kathmandu along punishing Himalayan trails.Â
Rob Ferguson is a photographer, content creator and Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society. Last fall, he completed an environmental project with Jamling Norgay Tenzing, the son of pre-eminent Everest sherpa Tenzing Norgay. His writing, photo and film content cuts to the core of key issues facing the Nepalese people and the surrounding environment.Â
