Join us for a very unique experience of hiking from sunset till moonlight in Griffith Park! The hike meets at 7:30 (please arrive on time to sign in and fill out the waiver if you haven’t previously), so we can start hiking promptly at 7:45. This time we will meet at the top of the stairs at the north end of the Merry Go Round Parking lot 2 at Griffith Park (if parking is full, you can park at the lower lot below lot 2). In our night hikes, we prefer using our night vision and hiking without headlamps, but if you would like to use a light, please use red light only. Check the weather before heading out and dress according to the weather (bring layers, as you will sweat a bit going up, but temperatures usually drop and you can get cold on the way down). We also recommend appropriate shoes with tread; trail runners or hiking boots, as the steep dirt trails can be slippery in regular running shoes.  This is a moderately challenging route, with 1100 feet of elevation gain in just under 5 miles. We hope to finish the hike in about 2 hours, so we will try to keep a steady, active pace. Dogs on a leash are welcome!
