This workshop is available to anyone who understands and respects the vision and mission of NAIC-NY. Allies of all backgrounds are welcome!

Join us for an engaging and hands-on beading workshop, where we celebrate Indigenous artistry and cultural heritage. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn traditional beading techniques passed down through generations, guided by skilled Native artisans. Participants will create their own beadwork piece, exploring the intricate patterns and vibrant colors that hold deep cultural significance.

Need-to-know information: All materials will be provided, and no previous experience is necessary. The workshop is open to participants of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a shared space of learning and creativity. If you are interested in bringing your child, please ensure you RSVP for both yourself and your child individually. Please arrive 15 minutes early to settle in and wear comfortable clothing. Together, we will weave connections and creativity, honoring the living legacy of our peoples.

$15 minimum donation at the door required for entry. All donations will go directly to NAIC-NY, with a donation match from Arc'teryx. We encourage you to give more if you can!
Snacks and drinks will be provided. End the night with a raffle for a chance to win some of our most coveted gear and a beautiful piece of authentic Native beadwork!

NAIC-NY's work in building, reclaiming, reframing, and centering spaces for Native peoples includes working closely with Restore Forward and diverse community partners to envision solidarity and sovereignty initiatives that build, nurture, and support our interwoven pasts, presents/presences, and futures.

Through shared analysis, organizing, and action, creative solutions are discovered, and we learn together about the many different ways we can contribute toward movement-building and change-making. A space of solidarity, we commit to accessible, respectful, and unifying community-building models that move our peoples forward in strength, resiliency, and grounded pride.
