The purpose of this workshop will be to connect the local photo community, provide guidance and inspiration in the photography and editing processes, as well as have each participant leave with potential portfolio building photos, and deeper understanding of the expectations of an outdoor photo session.
Limited spots available.
The focus will be bouldering with a commercial and documentary approach. The audience is local photographers, both professional and hobbyists. A basic understanding of photography and editing is required, but there is no climbing experience necessary.
Participants should be prepared for time spent indoors, as well as outdoors. The workshop will run regardless of weather, so check the weather ahead of time.
Snacks will be provided for when everyone returns to the store for the editing portion.
Participants should bring the following:
-Camera
-SD card and reader
-Spare Battery
-Laptop
-Additional equipment is not required or discouraged.
-A lot of stoke!Â
This event will take place outside of the store in a location to be announced sooner to the event. Please bring proper hydration and snacks and necessary gear for a variety of weather.

Mike Thurk is a self taught photographer whose style blends the world of commercial and documentary photography.
M.THURK's work can be easily identified by its use of black and white minimalism, abstraction, as well as deliberate use of color and deep connection with the protagonist.
The goal with M.THURK's imagery is to blur the line between genres - Commercial. Editorial. Street. Photojournalism. Fine Art. - and for his imagery to be able to thrive in any of these mediums, for any clientele.
