About the piece:
 16x20in Arcylic on canvas
"The piece created for Arc'teryx is inspired by the interconnectedness of people, nature and urban environments. It was important to me that the figures appear in motion, almost leaping into each other as it sometimes feels in the city that we are all hurrying to get somewhere. The shape in the upper right hidden behind the plant is a nod to The Bean and Chicago, while many of the colors chosen for the painting were directly taken from the new Veilance collection."

About The Artist, Liz Flores:Â
Liz Flores is a painter and muralist based in Chicago.
She is deeply influenced by the everyday human experience, storytelling, and the female body. Working primarily with acrylic paint on canvas, her work is a representation of the human condition through lines, shapes, and abstract figures. It’s a reaction to life, an emotion, or a memory and is driven by her interests in community, womanhood, and Latinidad. While the women in her paintings are by her experiences, they remain ambiguous in face and form, giving the viewer the opportunity to see themselves.
"Painting has always been my way of self-understanding and for viewers, it’s my hope that my work can spark self-reflection in their own life. "
