Gethin Davies, is a Captain within the British Army’s Royal Gurkha Rifles. A military mountain guide and passionate alpinist, he has climbed a number of Himalayan giants; Everest, Manaslu and Ama Dablam to name a few. He is the expedition leader of the British Army’s 2021 Himalayan expedition, which focuses on climbing and skiing new lines on unclimbed peaks. He will share his experiences of expedition ideation and provide unique insight on his plans for the year ahead.
James Barber is the Lead Performance Specialist at The Altitude Centre, a role which allows him to combine his professional and academic interest in the use of altitude training, with his own passion for sports performance and mountaineering. A Kilimanjaro summiteer himself, James has worked with countless individuals in their preparation for high altitude expeditions around the world, from Kilimanjaro to Denali and Aconcagua, all the way to through to those taking on an Everest summit.Â
