Masha Gordon

Alpinist, public speaker and board executive

Meet a Londoner who thrives in thin air finding solace in some of the world’s least hospitable places. Masha’s favorite pastime involves rising at unsocial hours to climb north faces or ski touring towards steep alpine gullies. Over the past decade, Masha has spent over a year sleeping in tents, summiting several 8,000-meter peaks, and embarking on more than 30 expeditions. Her endeavors earned her two Guinness World Records and helped develop a passion for tackling unclimbed peaks. In 2024, she led an expedition to a remote area in Northern Pakistan, achieving three first ascents—a privilege that also allowed the team to name them.

As a proud mother of two, Masha believes adventure is one of the best ways to forge strong parental bonds and create lasting memories. She’s often seen climbing alongside her teenage son, @littlealpinist, whether scaling El Capitan, ice climbing in the Alps, or following his lead on sport routes in Greece.

Passionate about empowering women, Masha founded GRIT&ROCK, a foundation dedicated to championing women in alpinism. Since its launch nine years ago, the charity has supported more than 30 female-led expeditions and, in 2024 alone, sponsored 28 women in pioneering alpine exploration.

By 2016, he confronted his fear of heights through climbing, eventually mastering a 250-meter free climb in the Gorge du Verdon and becoming an advocate for outdoor exploration and introducing others to climbing.

Jasmin Rafferty

Jasmin, a 28-year-old climber from Northeast England now in London, works as a trainer at an indoor bouldering gym, sharing her passion for climbing. Let's get to know him

Charlie Smith is a renowned designer and Arctic explorer, celebrated for his pioneering expeditions in the Arctic, Scandinavia, Iceland, and Greenland. His achievements have earned him recognition as one of 'The New Shackletons: Britain's Next Generation of Explorers' by Gentleman's Journal, 'Most Inspiring Young Explorers' by Wired for Adventure, and one of the Top 10 Next Generation of Explorers by British Airways High Life magazine.

Over the past decade, Charlie has repeatedly ventured into the depths of the Arctic winter in Iceland, undertaking a journey that highlights the extreme challenges and unexpected outcomes of such expeditions. From battling isolated cabin fever and successive panic attacks to testing the very limits of his mental endurance, Charlie's experiences offer a profound insight into the harsh realities of Arctic exploration. He will share his personal stories of dealing with ongoing frostbite, debilitating blindness, and finding ‘comfort’ in the uncomfortable.

In 2024, Charlie made one final, determined attempt to retrace his steps from 10 years ago across the mountains of Southern Iceland. With a new team by his side, he sought to confront past failures and finally bring closure to this enduring expedition.
