Steve Chapman has been a member of Coquitlam Search and Rescue for over 7 years. He has over 40 years of mountain experience, including ascents of peaks in the Himalayas, Denali, European Alps, Scandinavia, UK, and more recently British Columbia. Steve is passionate about spreading the gospel of outdoor safety, a passion inspired by a near death experience in the Alps over 20 years ago. In recent years Steve has turned his attentions to Cartography and now produces local hiking maps and is the mastermind behind the outdoor safety app “Overdue”.
