Conversations with pioneers in our community. Hosted by Sarah Knapp, founder of Mappy Hour, a national community of urban dwelling outdoor enthusiasts. Hear from storytellers, writers, founders of non-profits, climate experts and problem solvers.
We attempted to stay connected with our friends and family while working from home during this pandemic.
Here is a series of "fire side chats" we had with a couple of our friends in our community, hosted by Sarah Knapp.
Sarah L. Knapp is a local Arc'teryx Ambassador and the Founder & Director of Mappy Hour a community platform to connect urban dwellers to outdoor recreation in cities.
Â
Through their monthly events, skills education, and online community, Mappy Hour is able to reach urban dwellers in over 10 cities in North America. Â
Â
Her love for adventure has brought her to the summit of Africa, the countryside of Belarus and the ski slopes of Patagonia.
Â
She believes that the best way to explore a city is by bike and the best place to get know someone is in the outdoors.

An awkward kid Keith barely persevered through family camping and canoe trips. Then something happened after collage, the outdoors, travel, and adventure sports became a passion, taking him around the globe skiing the Alps, paddling class V Chilean rivers, cycling the Californian coast and enjoying quiet weekends hiking with his husband and dog near their Vermont home.
Feeling like an outsider in the outdoors, Keith looks to transform the outdoor industry into a safe, fun and inclusive space for the queer community
Sarah Knapp interviews Daniel Zarrilli, NYC's chief climate policy advisor and OneNYC Director. They explore OneNYC, the City’s version of the Green New Deal, talk about setting aggressive climate goals for the city, and we learn about the one action we can all take to ensure a cleaner, healthier and more just city.
