In Partnership with Potomac Appalachian Tail Club - Mountaineering Section, we are offering a FREE climbing experience at Carderock. No equipment is needed. Rental harness, helmets, and shoes will be provided at no cost.

On November, 14th 2021, meet us at the Billy Goat Trail C - North Parking Lot and look for PATC-MS table at the parking lot. We will have a water fill up station, so bring your own bottle and your stoke! Climbing shoes, helmets and harness will be provided courtesy of Potomac Appalachian Tail Club - Mountaineering Section. Please make sure you RSVP so we know you're coming.

No experience is necessary. This event is for anyone wanting to try climbing for the first time without worrying about setting an anchor, owning equipment, or finding a belayer.
*Participants must fill out waiver before climbing* Waivers will be available on the spotÂ
Tips on getting there:Â
-Carderock is accessible via car right off 495 or right off the C&O canal if you're biking or hikingÂ
-Once your in the park, make sure you follow the road to the furthest parking lot with a loop
-Cell service is a hit or miss so please plan ahead, we recommend downloading a the map to the general area on google maps Â
