Bundle up and join us in kicking off our favorite season on Thursday, Nov. 6th! Catch an “Arc’teryx Presents” film premiere at Lake Shore Park and get mountain-ready with free ski/snowboard waxing services, hot cocoa, music, and gear giveaways.
All ticket proceeds will benefit the Alex Pancoe Foundation. The Alex Pancoe Foundation in partnership with Lurie Children’s will help patients find their Mt. Everest both inside and outside the hospital. Patients will have the opportunity to pursue meaningful, life-affirming experiences whether that is exploring the outdoors, learning a new skill or discovering a hidden passion. This will give young patients something to look forward to, remind them of their strength, and support their journey beyond illness. Just as Alex climbed mountains all over the world to honor the resilience of these children, this Foundation will help them find their own Everests.

Tying in with a climbing partner means more than just working a few pitches or sending the crux together. It symbolizes an intersection of two approaches to the same sport, and how climbers at either end of a rope share similar goals.
For renowned alpinists Ines Papert and Sarah Huenekin, the nexus of their aspirations comes as they both climb past the age of 50, inspired to keep pushing harder to achieve their full potential, while relentlessly working to better understand each other as climbing partners, as well as themselves.

In the mountains, like in life, most days are not perfect. But for ACMG Splitboard guides Christine Feleki and Joey Vosburgh, it’s their job to make each of their 150+ days a year in the mountains meaningful.
Working as a guide is a non-stop grind of managing uncertainty, prioritizing safety, and finding time in between to hone skills and techniques in a constantly evolving field. It’s also the best job in the world - they’ll tell you that.
To strive for longevity as a guide requires a deep knowledge of avalanche safety and risk assessment, but equally important is a constant emphasis on self-reflection and growth. This year, they ventured in a corner of the Selkirk Range that Joey’s been eyeing for years, working their way through variable
conditions, reflecting on their journeys, and stepping into uncertainty with an open mind.

Chevy gained the love for the outdoors after seeing the stars and milky way in Grand Teton National Park. From then she decided to start a social media page with her partner, Kam, called Black People Outside. Together Kam and Chevy share outdoor adventures on social media to encourage diversity in the outdoors. Their adventures lead them to host and lead free group hikes and outdoor events in the Chicagoland area. Their goal is to make sure everyone has the opportunity to experience outdoor activities comfortably, like hiking, skiing, camping, and trail running. They aim to make all BPO events and activities free to help eliminate some of the financial constraints for individuals.
