Join us on January 19th from 7-9pm as Indra takes us through the ebbs and flows of her relationship with outdoor sports and the way it intersects with her passions for community building and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She will show us the beauty in slowness and tender spaces for learning, and the ways in which we can balance having objectives in the outdoors with being gentle with ourselves and others.

Indra is a self-proclaimed leisurist, finding growth in the slow moments (often skinning) and gratitude in the community that gathers around her. She works as a full time diversity, equity, and inclusion strategist, and outside of the 9-5, she runs a community-driven organization called Incluskivity that creates backcountry programming for groups that have been traditionally marginalized. Her programs aim to disrupt barriers to entry within backcountry snow sports, including the lack of psychological safety that occurs for folks when they are perceived as the only ones like them in a space. She has spent the last two years bringing over 50 women and gender diverse folks of colour into the backcountry and tirelessly working to change that narrative of what it means to be a skier.
