Arc'teryx Ambassador Adam Alvarez:
Adam grew up in the Andes, specifically in Venezuela, where he developed a deep passion for mountaineering, climbing, trail running, and exploration. Adam began venturing into the mountains at a young age in Merida, nestled between two prominent mountain ranges, with peaks reaching altitudes of 5000m. Initially, he pursued mountaineering as a hobby, but then he decided to turn it into a career as a mountain guide in Venezuela, seizing the opportunity to share his love for the mountains with others. Adam is very passionate about high and remote mountains. So far, he has completed over 400 ascents of mountains above 4000m among numerous other thrilling adventures worldwide but climbing Manaslu, the world's eighth-highest mountain at 8163m, without the aid of altitude Sherpa support or bottled oxygen, is possibly one of his greatest achievements.
