Join us for a conversation on May 2nd at 7:00 pm with Andy Hansen (IFMGA guide via Colorado Mountain School) and Kahle Toothill (AIARE Pro 1, VNTR Birds and Arc'teryx Ambassador) where they will discuss topics such as:
- Gear selection
 Trip planning
- Travel techniques
- Spring avalanche considerations
- Examples of local objectives for progressive backcountry skiers/riders
About the Guides:

Andy Hansen is an IFMGA Mountain Guide living in Longmont, CO. Andy operates in all seasons and all disciplines, but you'll mostly find him climbing or skiing, in Alaska, Washington, the Alps, and of course, Colorado. Andy is a passionate mountain athlete that enjoys sharing wild places with others.
Kahle Toothill is an Arc'teryx Ambassador living in Boulder, CO. Outside of her day job, Kahle is passionate about being an outdoor educator, instructor, trip leader, and mentor for the Colorado Mountain Club, and VNTRbirds. She enjoys helping people realize their potential in new, intimidating environments.
Andy and Kahle have shared many days in the mountains together, including skiing unnamed lines in the glaciated Alaska Range and skiing off the summit of Mt. Baker.

ARC'TERYX SPONSORED GUIDED FIELD SESSION - May 17th
Arc'teryx will provide four scholarships to eligible intermediate/advanced backcountry riders. This scholarship is aimed toward skiers and splitboarders who want to take the next step in their progression. This field session on May 17th with Kahle and Andy is intended to push riders toward bigger lines in a safe and calculated way.Â
