Event Details: All skill levels welcome! Come learn drawing techniques that you can take on the trail to capture your adventures in-the-moment. Instead of rigid academic techniques, this class will teach a crash-course in mark making and image composition that will empower you to rapidly create expressive images. To achieve this, participants will be introduced to the brush pen: a unique pen tipped with bristles instead of a nib.
The workshop will start with drawing exercises and instruction as a group, and then we will transition to field drawing with instructor support.
Important Notes:
- Make sure to pack all the essentials for a day in nature for up to three hours, please click here for a brief list of things we recommend you come prepared with.
- You will need to find your own transportation to and from the venue.
*Parking is first come, first serve. We recommend car-pooling if you're joining with your friends!*

The winner of the Grand Prize must attend in-person at the event to be qualified for entry. Steven “Lowfi Steve” Streisguth is an artist and product designer in San Francisco. When he’s not on Zoom meetings with enterprise clients, he can be found exploring the hills and dales of the Bay Area on his bicycle with a sketchbook in hand. Steven’s illustration work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, 3x3, and American Illustration.
