Arc'teryx Victoria is joining up once again with the amazing coach Lucy Smith!Â
Lucy Smith competed as a professional and high performance athlete at the international level in distance running, duathlon and triathlon for over 30 years, and competed for Canada in over twenty World Championship events. Lucy earned 3 University Championship Gold medals, 19 National Championship titles, and 2 Silver World Championships Medals over the course of her long career. She has been inducted into the Dalhousie University Sports Hall of Fame and the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame. A resident of Victoria since 2000, she is a 6 time winner of the Victoria Times Colonist 10K, has coached hundreds of walkers and runners in the popular RunSport Clinics and is an inspiration to many runners in the community through her coaching and motivational talks. Â
A prominent masters athlete in running and cycling, and founder of a run club for young girls called ‘Up and Running’ Lucy currently coaches athletes, mentors coaches, and helps organizations build programs that motivate individuals to create success with personal dreams, goals and life balance. A mentor, certified sport coach, leader, author, mother and motivational speaker, Lucy is committed to sharing her passion for building health, wellness and personal success through sport and physical activity.Â
Arc'teryx Victoria will be providing free guided community focused run sessions for the remaining of the year! All runs will be added to individual pages, so pick the day that works best for you and join the fun!Â
On August 9th, Lucy will meet runners at our brand store and begin a 8-10km run around beacon hill, along Dallas road and back to the store! Our run pace is always beginner friendly (6km/h) with free tips and tricks added in to enhance your running experience!Â

"Stand up tall. Imagine that a string (like on a Marionette) is attached to the top of your head and is pulling you upward. This will help you maintain erect, but not tense posture."
