The session is designed to build up strength and muscular endurance to get you up and over those mountains when trail running. We can scale down or up the workout based on your ability.
During hill sprints, you will activate more muscle fibres to produce a greater force. This in turn will help to improve neuromuscular strength, and also, it will improve tissue capacity to reduce muscular damage for those long trail runs.
Hill sprints are crucial for training as they build strength, power, and speed while improving running form and efficiency.
We will warm up by doing a slow 500m run to Green Park followed by a series of mobility exercises, and the workout will consist of sprinting uphill and recovering coming downhill.
Lastly, we will finish with a few mobility exercises and stretches. We will then run back to run back to the store
We welcome runners of all abilities!
