ARC Run Club has returned with more variety and opportunity to develop than ever.
Come along for the next edition of the ARC Run Club sessions that focus on specific running techniques, conditioning and varying distances.
Set yourself up for success, whether it's a personal activity goal, including some extra exercise in your week or preparing for the fast-approaching 2023 London Marathon.
Arc'teryx Ambassador George Howard leads this week's session, focusing on the Fartlek method, which literally means 'speed play' in Swedish. Using intervals of varying speed, it challenges your body to run faster over longer distances.
Test a pair of the Norvan LD 3 for your session, on us. Let us know when you register.
Running can help to significantly improve physical and mental health. At Arc'teryx, we believe running exists to connect people. This is especially true for the ARC Run Club and our local London community.
We interact as friends, share tips and running stories to help you evolve your technique and enjoy the shared experience.
Ambassador George Howard will be providing specific guidance and support on strength and conditioning techniques that will improve your overall performance in trail running and road running. We have a full programme planned to target a range of trials and techniques that will improve your running, strength and endurance.
FARTLEK TRANING
Fartlek
/ˈfɑːtlɛk/
noun
A system of training for distance runners in which the terrain and pace are continually varied.
George will be looking to help you improve your skills with the dynamic demands of long distance and trail running. During this session, you will be training to challenge your body's ability to maintain faster speeds over a longer run. As always, Run Club is a social space to improve your running.
We welcome runners of all abilities!
Test the Norvan LD 3 for your session - let us know when you register and we will do our best to assign you a pair. Please be aware that our library is limited, so sizes will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
