Arc'teryx Ambassador Masha Gordon:
Masha Gordon is an amateur alpinist and a mother of two. She has traveled all over the world in pursuit of her passion for climbing and outdoors. Her idea of luxury hotel is a bivouac at 4000m on the summit ridge of Grandes Jorasses. Masha started her alpine apprenticeship journey during her maternity leave in 2009 when she found herself in Chamonix. In 2016 she went on to set two Guinness records becoming the fastest woman to climb Seven Summits and do the Explorers Grand Slam in 7 months and 19 days. The record she holds to date. She has subsequently climbed Makalu, Lhotse, Cholatse and virgin peak UIAA in Nepal, Huantsan South in Peru and many technical routes in the Alps. Her preferred alpine discipline is mixed climbing. Climbing tougher with Theo who has long surpassed her in his rock climbing grade is one of the most rewarding parenting experiences.
Theo Gordon:Â
Theo Gordon is a 13 year old Londoner who was fortunate enough to be dragged around Alps since a very early age.. He is a member of the Castle climbing squad and his preferred indoors discipline is lead climbing. That said, he much prefers climbing outdoors in Leonidio, Siurana and Verdon, or climbing alpine ridges. At the age of 10 he had a chance to trek to Everest base camp and discover what high altitude was all about. He summited Dent de Geants and Grands Paradiso age 11. He loves ice climbing and steep skiing and still can’t make up his mind whether he enjoys long approaches to the alpine climbs.
