Join us on Sunday, March 31st at 6:30pm to celebrate and honour the lived experiences of women participating in outdoor activities. Arc'teryx ambassadors Camille Santiago and Coralia Sevilla will host a discussion in the format of Rose, Bud, and Thorn giving everyone the opportunity to reflect on and share their highlights, excitement for the future, and past/current roadblocks faced. After the panel discussion, there will be an opportunity to connect over complimentary bouldering, so don't forget your climbing shoes! Rentals will also be available at no cost to you. Refreshments from Our Daily Brett and Wildfolk will be served.
A note about March 31st:
In the spirit that women have fought to have our voices heard, it is also important for us to create space and elevate the voice of others experiencing gender inequality. This International Women’s Day event lands on International Day of Transgender of Visibility. We want to acknowledge that trans rights and visibility go hand in hand with representation of women’s rights as everyone deserves to be represented and heard. We stand with transgender women as we know they are the most vulnerable within our community. We encourage women, non-binary and 2-spirit individuals to join us for this day of reflection and climbing.

Doors open at 6:30pm. Panel discussion starts at 6:45pm. Complementary rope climbing & bouldering to follow.
Coralia Sevilla (she/her) is not just an elementary school teacher, but also an indoor climbing instructor at the Calgary Climbing Centre. Beyond her roles in education and climbing, she serves as the Vice President of the Not-for-Profit organization, Soul of Miistaki ("Miis-dah-gee"- Blackfoot for Mountain). Her passion revolves around ensuring climbing is accessible to all, and she takes delight in her mission to foster community and build strong connections within climbing and outdoor recreation in general. Residing in Mohkinstsis (Blackfoot for Calgary) Coralia makes the most of her free time by embracing the excitement of both rock climbing, ice climbing, and skiing.
Camille Santiago (she/her) is a photographer & graphic designer based in Canmore. An avid outdoors woman, Camille loves climbing and hiking, and is passionate about connecting to others in nature, as well as connecting others to nature. As a three-time migrant, access to green spaces and the outdoors (as well as the sports and communities that thrive in them) was not something Camille was able to enjoy until later in life, fuelling her drive to see more women and people of colour represented in the outdoors.
