Join us at the newly opened Arc'teryx Oakbrook store for a screening of a film about the 1949 climb of Devils Tower from the Chicago Mountaineering Club's archives. The film is 36 minutes in length and is narrated by Joe Stettner, one of the founding members of the club and a legend in the climbing world. The footage is from multiple cameras, one at the base and at least one on the route. There is little documentation but the 1949 climb may have been a CMC outing, supported by the listing of CMC members in the video.
An Arc'teryx raffle prize will awarded at the end of the night.
